Recent sightings of the so-called “Doomsday fish” have been captured on camera off the coast of the Canary Islands in the Atlantic and near Baja California, Mexico.
These deep-sea oarfish, known for their long, ribbon-like bodies, typically dwell thousands of feet below the ocean’s surface. Their sudden appearance has long been linked to seismic activity, raising concerns about potential natural disasters. But could these events signal something even greater?
While the Bible does not specifically mention oarfish, it does warn of natural signs preceding Christ’s return. Romans 8:22 states, “the whole creation groans and travails in pain together until now,” suggesting that the earth itself reflects the increasing spiritual and physical turmoil of the times.
In a prophetic warning for 2025, Perry Stone cautioned believers to expect disasters along coastal areas. Although the appearance of these fish is more of a mysterious phenomenon than an actual catastrophe, it could serve as a warning of what lies ahead.
These occurrences should not be dismissed as mere coincidences. Rather, they may be a divine wake-up call—an urgent reminder that the time for repentance and revival is now.
