As we draw closer to the return of Christ, the world will grow darker. Yet, there are keys believers can rely on to navigate these challenging times. Rabbi Jonathan Cahn shared practical insights to help guide Christians in this season:
Build Your Life on the Firm Foundation of God’s Word
Cahn references the parable of the two men who built houses—one on rock and the other on sand. The house on the sand was destroyed by storms, while the house on the rock stood firm. Similarly, our lives must be grounded on the solid foundation of God’s Word.
Bind God’s Word to Your Mind
“Let the Word rule your thought life,” Cahn advises. “This will bring stability. Bind the Word to your actions—ensure everything you do aligns with it.”
Be Rooted in the Things of God
Stay connected to God daily through prayer and communion. Place yourself in His presence consistently.
Walk in Alignment with God’s Will
“The further you are from God’s will, the more you’ll struggle and be overcome,” says Cahn. “But when you align with His will, you will overcome and not be defeated.”
Place Your Faith in Truth
True faith connects us to God, His salvation, and His love. It strengthens us spiritually and helps us grow.
Remember the Lord
“In these times, it’s crucial to remember God,” Cahn warns. “The spirit of the age seeks to make you forget Him, His ways, and His Word.”
Praise God in All Circumstances
Regardless of troubles or the world’s darkness, praise God. Worship Him through every situation.
Do Not Bow to the World
“The enemy wants you to bow—whether to false gods, idols, political correctness, or worldly ideals,” Cahn says. “Stand firm and refuse to bow.”
Prepare for the Battle Ahead
Don’t wait for challenges to decide how to respond. Determine in advance how you will stand against darkness.
Do Not Be Afraid
“God is in control, seated on the throne, and He’s not leaving it,” Cahn reminds believers.
Darkness Can Lead to Greater Fruit
Hard times can produce spiritual growth. “The greater the darkness, the brighter the light,” says Cahn.
Repent and Return to God
“The church must return to its roots,” Cahn urges. “Go back to being radical, revolutionary, prophetic, and Spirit-filled. Reject worldly comforts and power, and embrace God’s Spirit power.”
Though the world may grow darker, believers can prevail by leaning into Christ, who has already overcome the world.
